There is a cornfield fairly early in "The Fellowship of the Ring," and there was nothing creepy about that one.

Well, Wild Wild West wasn't necessarily creepy, but I guess most directors and writers had some traumatic experiences in cornfields...even in North by Northwest, the cornfield was a place of terror.

that's so funny but true. even wizard of oz was creepy. a little girl running around with a damn lion and tin man. that's almost " hi I'm Chris Hansen with dateline NBC and I'm doing a show about child predators " creepy.

If you don't mind older action films, check out Blind Fury, with Rutger Hauer. The corn field scene isn't a centerpoint to the film, but it's a fun fight scene.
