Lol...well, if he really wants to carry you to the car, then of course he can. But you can still walk! Your water breaking does not paralyze you!

If your water broke and is leaking, then you should be safe being carried or walk to the car if you are near the hospital. I am going to be a little more detailed. Did your water come out with a gush or is it just slowly leaking? If the water is darker it could mean that your baby has had a bowel movement(meconium)-not sure of the spelling. Are you having labor pains and are they consistant and are regular? Sometimes the cord may present itself before the baby. If this happens the baby's head could be pressing the cord and cutting off the O2 supply to the baby. If this happens you should call 911. Inthis case scenario, lightly someone should hold the baby's head off the cord gently and if you get the urge to push, don't, just blow or pant to maintain until you can get medical assistance. I was certified in emergency medicine but although sometimes things go wrong but more than that you will have a normal, healthy birth.

yes he should still be able to carry you to the car. your water breaking shouldn't have any affect on your husband being able to carry you to the car.

Why does he need to carry you to the car? It doesnt hurt. Just feels like balloon popping and then a gush.

if that is the only way you can get to the car then it is OK for him to carry you, but it would be OK for you to walk if the conditions are not so bad.

Why don't you walk? Unless you are completely incapacitated and the walk is unsafe I don't understand why he should carry you? It is better for you to walk anyway.
And why are you not in the car on the way to L&D right now?? Get off the computer!
