okay grab your lip
and pinch it (soft force) with 4 fingers( with a space in the middle after 2)
that's the clamp.
now in the gap use 1 finger and press down 2x as hard as you did for the clamp.
that's the needle.
pretty painless

Coming from someone who's had 3 lip piercings and Pierced several lips. I'd rate it a 2 or 3 for myself.
but some people can't tallerate pain well. it all depends on the person
for me it was just a pinch. however getting my industrial pierced hurt. I'd rate that like a 7.
the pain of the needle shouldn't matter to you if you really want whatever piercing. just take care of yourself and your piercings never trust anyone not proffesional.

Depends on if you're doing it yourself or getting it professionally done but either way it tends to be one of the least painful piercings. If you're doing it yourself make sure to go from the outside and push really hard because the last layer of skin is the toughest and if you hear a "pop" that's normal. I would give it a 2 or 3 if 1 is the least painful.

on a scale maybe a 6, but that isnt the worst to most peopl, Alot of people say that the yellow mouth wash is the worst, after its done your lip swells for about 3 hours.

its a 1-2. i doesnt hurt at all, even less then an ear! I had mine done before i needed it out for job applications. I even changed it out from the 14 gauge to a 16 (more feminine to me) after one week and THAT didnt even hurt at all.
Dont be frightened by ppl who say its hurts, cuz it really doesnt (im a wuss, so i would know).

depends on your pain tolerance. for me - an 8? for you, who knows? a 9? my belly pierce was a breeze - a 1, maybe 2.
