Yes, and anyone considering abortion, should get an ultrasound and see how the baby moves. It's a human being. After, that I don't think a woman would be able to proceed.

While I do disagree with abortion, I also find your question repulsive...How is this meant to help anyone be understanding of either side if the debate?
I really feel that you should find something better to contribute to this community, than just trying to stir the pot and harass people!
Most women who have had abortions (although I cannot speak for all of them) either already regret their past or have moved on and are okay with what has happened! Those considering abortion, should look at ALL the facts, scientific, emotional, physical, spiritual, etc... Neither you nor I are or can be responsible for anyone else actions no matter how much you or I disagree. But you can be compassionate for those who feel that they have no other choice but to have an abortion. I feel sad, it breaks my heart I could never imagine having to make a decision like that, and I can only speculate what they must go through, mentally, emotionally & physically!!!
Instead of trying to offend people, why don't you educate them!

What about if the baby is a health risk to the mother? Like in ectopic pregnancy where the baby implants someplace outside the uterus, i.e. in the fallopian tube. The baby is going to die no matter what because it can't be removed and reimplanted and it can't survive outside the uterus. The fallopian tube will burst, causing the mother to bleed to death. Now you have two dead people instead of just the one that was going to die anyway.
What if the lady gets pregnant and a week later finds out she has cancer? She learns that she can only survive if she gets chemotherapy or radiation but that will also kill or cause severe defects to the baby.
What if a woman was pregnant with a baby who had no brain? Skin? Heart?
What if a woman was pregnant with a baby who had a severe debilitating disease that would cause the baby to suffer it's entire life and die young, such as with Cystic Fibrosis?
It is important to not judge people before knowing all the facts of their situation. I am not advocating that people should get abortions for birth control reasons-but there are certainly reasons to get one-including saving a life.

i have the choice to go out and kill anybody i want to, but you know what , i'd go to prison for a long time.
I obviously don't agree with abortion, whats so different in killing an unborn baby that still has a hearbeat and is alive? It just depends on its mother to take care of it then boom it is being ripped apart limb from limb because the mother is to selfish to think about anybody else. People shouldn't spread their legs in the first place without proper protection if they didn't want the baby, and there is always adoption there are so many couples that want to have babies and aren't able to and then people that just want to kill theirs.
and come on now kittie, i dont' think she was talking about miscarriage or "spontaneous miscarriage". your just making excuses.
EDIT: In my beliefs i feel that God controls everything that is meant to happen in our lives, we have to live out our purpose, if God were to give me a baby to carry and to deliver the baby would kill me then so be it, i would never destroy a human being for any reason what so ever.

murder is a strong word. i just answered a question on someone who was 20 weeks pregnant and wondering if they could still get an abortion - that is murder. termination of a pregnancy that poses serious risks to the mother or child, then no its not murder. there was a question the other day i answered about a woman who felt terrible for terminating her pregnancy, if she carried full term her and the baby would most certainly have died, she already had 2 little boys to care for, thats not murder. it really depends on the situation.
personally i would never terminate my own pregnancy, whether my child was handicapped or whatever, if thats the way my baby is meant to be then thats what is intended for me, and god gave me that child for a reason. i would never judge someone who had no other choice to do so.

Who are you to pass judgement? I also assume you are a God fearing individual. If you are, then you are disobeying your own religions beliefs that only God can judge. I would like to know who you think is to blame when the body miscarries a baby through spontanious abortion. I may be sick, but you are an ignorant, judgmental, and hypocritical person who thinks your beliefs are the only ones that matter especially when you have never been in the position that these girls are in. You and your "kind" make ME sick.

i feel abortion is wrong when a couple has unprotected sex and ends up pregnant and than says oops and wants to run and get a abortion i feel like we should all be responsible for our actions if we don't want to get pregnant get on birth control abortion is wrong when it used for birth control i have seen on here where women have had 4 or more abortions that's just ridiculous, now with that said i feel like if a woman is rapped and gets pregnant that's different or if her life and the child's life is in danger or if the child will suffer real bad health problems that's my opinion

Ah, yet again, another person trying to stand on their soapbox! I don't think you actually care about people's opinions, except those that agree with you. The wording of your question makes that perfectly clear. You don't sound like you're open to discussion or debate, so why even bother asking the question? You aren't trying to get advice, so why are you asking this on the pregnancy forum?

your question does not belong here. You are asking for an opinion about abortion in a way that is clearly meant to inflame people and start a debate. If you want to get different opinions on this procedure take it to polls and surveys, womens studies, law and ethics or the political areas.

I don't think there is ever a good reason for abortion. Even if my child would be born with some disease such as Cystic Fibrosis or something else. Even if my child would only live for a short time weather it be 5 mins or 5 years after birth. I would still carry him/her until God decided it was time to take them home.
