ive had a downstairs neighbour, and when he started trying to con my mum (who lives in the same block) i stopped him. He replyed by threatening to get me killed, and since then he's attacked me with a knife and a cro bar ( which i blocked with my arm) and has since won the landlords attentions by complaining about me when ive done nothing wrong. The landlord has decided to agree with him even though hes persecuted me and made malicious untrue complaints. Now i am being evicted. Is there any action i can take??

the only things I can suggest are that you try and fight the eviction in court and show the marks on your arm from where he attacked you as proof that he is a problem neighbour. I do sympathise with you as im in exactly the same situation myself and I know how frustrating it is when the police do f**k all!!

The neighbour is in the wrong, the Police are in the wrong, the people giving answers on here are wrong. There appears to be a pattern developing. Your language / tone to people replying to your question isn't helping to endear or convince people you are a rational person either, calm it down..
Anyway just in case I am wrong about the pattern of behaviour you display how about this for a suggestion;
If the guy has caused you injury take a civil case against him, sue him. If the Court believe you then they can impose restrictions on the neighbour and compensate you.

The police do not care about neighborly fights. they have bigger things to worry about. the best you can do is take pictures, make recordings, whatever you need to do to get evidence that he is defaming you (defamation is a criminal claim you can take to court), as well as assaulting you (intentionally scaring you) with a deadly weapon (knife and crowbar) and battery (actually hitting your arm). You can either file a suit by getting a lawyer (and they will do the evidence discovery for you) or filing in small claims court for defamation (with your own evidence). Just the act of serving the dude with a law suit, or even just a notice of intent to file a lawsuit should scare him at least a little bit.

You should have reported this person to the police from the moment he threatened you with a knife.
Edit - If you are swearing about the place like you have done in your additional details, then you have a problem.

Why did you not report the crow bar attack even if you blocked it with your arm it would have showed as a severe injury I think you should go off and rethink this question.~~
