I know of a woman who, at 12 weeks, looked about six months along. Everyone show differently. Her baby is a normal size.

Being bigger could mean several things - could mean you are farther along than you think, that your baby is growing very fast, or it could mean nothing at all!

If you are getting regular prenatal care you can ask your midwife if your fundal height (where your uterus is) indicates that you may be further along. At your first ultrasound, the techs may also be able to estimate if you are perhaps further along than you think. But if not, don't worry!

Is this your first? Your earlier pregnancies loosen up your muscles so they relax and expand faster. Otherwise, if it's your first I would just say it's your body ("everyone's different", don't you love that statement?) but other than that since you're so small it could be swelling, bloating and intestinal irritation. At 10-13 weeks my tummy looked pretty big but not too noticeable big (I'm also small) and now that I'm 16 weeks my tummy isn't as big and I really don't look pregnant. Your body does a lot of adjusting, don't be surprised if your tummy goes down a little or a lot.

It sounds like you have a good chance of carrying twins! Of course I am not a Dr. and cannot give you an accurate diagnosis...Have you been for you first ultrasound yet???

Having diabetes (gestational or otherwise) or being overweight to begin with are the only reasons I know of that could make you larger earlier and carry risk of complications!!! I would really just check with your doctor though...

i got rather large(and am having sort of a big baby) but i lost most of the weight and havnt gained much now and am 23weeks now its mostly because u have fluid in ur stomach which makes u look bloated but u should go down a bit soon if not then u might be having a really big baby
good luck
congratulations

Could you be having twins? What does your doctor say about your size? The way to tell if you are on track is to take a measuring tape and measure from your pubic bone to the top of the fundus. You should be at 13 cm.

When the doctor measures your uterus, they look to see if your date correlates to your size, roughly 1cm per week.

its most likely u might be having twins
cuz at 13 weeks, its not likely that ur baby is just too big

are you short? Tall women have a little more space in there than someone who's short, so it pooches out more in the front,
