Being a San Diego fan myself i really dont think Quentin Jammer has become one of the best in the league...Maybe top 10 but not even close to being of the best..i think Cromartie should be a starter..i honestly think cromartie can make it to the pro bowl this season if he starts...I agree we can go far..Im pretty pissed off we lost donnie edwards..i believe he was the heart and soul of the defense...They say we are going to suck cuz of Norv...but to tell you the the truth i think we are going to be better...may not go 14-2 but im willing to bet our offense will put up better numbers...Our defense will slip up cuz of some new heads but both shauns will still put up good numbers..i think this is the season where castillo will make it to the pro bowl..

The Chargers team last season reminds me of the Colts the last few years, with all eyes on them they couldnt get the ring, but when everyone was watching us Indy took care of business. I really hope we dont trade Mike Turner, should anything happen to LT (knock, knock) I have all the confidence in Turner to step up. Im not concerned with the WRs cause were better w/o McCardell. Parker, Floyd, Vincent is a good trio, now we have deep threats. Parker's completion percentage was the highest in the league, he's a good possession receiver but Rivers just didnt get it to him, hopefully they'll click this season, and Rivers can find Gates more, plus the 2nd TE Malamula got great hands, so take out Neal and put him in for 2TE sets, try to double Gates now. That will truely give us a outside, inside, deep, short, out of the backfield all around passing offense. Bring back the reverse screens, the double reverse screens, and more passes to LT like we did 2 seasons ago. We have potential to be the greatest show on grass. But whatever, Im sure Norv's plan is a thousand times better than mine. Jammer is getting better and im not cussing at him as much as I used to, but Florence is not starting material and Cromartie isnt either, he hasnt grasp the game yet as of last season but im sure he's improved since, right now theyre both just average players and thats fine. The front 7 will hide this weakness (not weakness more of a weak spot) easily and they'lll definitely stuff the run and give the secondary opportunties to take away balls. Losing Edwards is a hugh blow. Thats our biggest concern IMO since ILB is the heart and soul of a D. But with or w/o him this defense wont break. I dont think there's a team in the league that can hang w/us. It's undefeated all the way through the SB. 19-0.

PROJECTED OFFENSE:
Even though they lost every coach they had, the offense will thrive. LT will go crazy, Antonio Gates will be a Pro Bowler, and the line will not let anyone through. Philip Rivers proved he could be the QB of the future, but he only has Vincent Jackson to throw to. If they get a guy in the draft, someone like Dwayne Jarrett or Dwayne Bowe, they will be real good.
PROJECTED OFFENSIVE RANKINGS:
29 Points Per Game, 400 Yards Per Game
PROJECTED DEFENSE:
Shawn Merriman is going to have 20+ sacks next season. This guy has a nose for the ball. All they need is a little more bulk on the other LB position and a starting Safety. This defense will be great. Basically, Wade Philips who?
PROJECTED DEFENSIVE RANKINGS:
16 Points Per Game, 325 Yards Per Game
PROJECTED RECORD: 13-3 (1st AFC West)
RECORD LAST SEASON:
14-2-0 (1st AFC West)

I don't think they're going to go 14-2, but I do think they'll be heading to the playoffs again. Tomlinson is clearly the best player (not just back) in the league. Rivers will have a full year of starting under his belt, and I think Vincent Jackson is going to be a really solid WR for them. Hopefully they can get another one in the draft to keep building that group since the starters right now are aging and nothing special.
Defense looks good and Merriman is only going to get better. That's a scary thought because he's already one of the best LBs in the league.
I say they win 12 games. KC isn't going to be very strong next year and obviously Oakland is going to be terrible. I think they can go 5-1, maybe 6-0 in their division if they get a few bounces during the Denver games.

You forgot to mention a completely new coaching staff, a LB coming off the juice (will he be as dominate? I think not), Tomlinson had a great year and almost completely carried the load for that O - can his body hold up?, still have almost nothing for WR and a QB who is really untested. I say 9-7, playoffs as a wildcard

I say 15-1
As the Colts found out 2 seasons in a row it's just too hard to go 16-0
I think they can make it to and win the Superbowl next season.
