I'm an avon rep myself and i have always though avon is brilliant. Its great quality and affordable and it there is something that you don't like, avon do a 100% no quibble guarantee so you can get your money back, no questions asked. Im thinking of doing the parties too so that i can get more people interested that dont already buy from me, which equals more commission for me! I also buy the little samples and tape a couple to the current brochure so even the people that dont buy from me in my area can still a product or two, hopefully like it and buy from me. Personally i think avon make-up is fantastic and also the foam baths are such great value especially if you buy when theres a deal on them.So cmon everyone, buy avon!!!

Erm...sorry, I don't like them!

I am a complete make up junkie - I do tend to go for expensive brands but if something cheaper catches my eye I will try it.

I have used Avon a few times - it's just so Mehhhh - average. The eyeshadows were a little hard, the eyeliner the same, the lipgloss wasnt anything special. I'm not keen on the packaging either, its neither plain and chic or cute.

I guess I have had the top end stuff so comparing it to Avon its a lot lot better and I notice straight away. However - I know Avon has a US branch which sells "Mark" - now, even though its a similar price range that appeals to me a lot more, because it looks funkier, the have found innovative ways to present the make up - for example the flip top compacts which have lip colours on the bottom and eye stuff on the top.

The quality is ok, but the concept makes it appealing and I would definately buy Mark again...but Avon, not really, unless they have a make over...

First of all, are you in Canada, or the States?

I have been selling Avon in Canada for 2 years, and love it. I just wish I could generate more sales. i am a little disappointed with the website that Canadian Reps have though, as compared to American Reps. In Canada, my customers can't browse through brochures on line. Its pretty boring. Here's my website if you wanted to see for yourself.....
www.interavon.ca/cheryl.lowing

Anyways, I love the makeup, shampoo, bubble bath, scents, and lots more. I love Avon because its just not about beauty. It is also hockey paraphernalia, and stuff for kids, etc. It doesn't cost a lot to become a rep. If you have any ideas or suggestions on how to do well in my business, feel free to e-mail me.

I like Avon products but the one item of make-up that I would never buy from anywhere else but Avon is eyeliner. Avons is amazing!! And some of their perfumes smell as good as, if not better than, more expensive brands.

I will never buy any Avon product until they advertise that they no longer use animals at all in their tests.

When I wrote to Avon, some years ago, protesting about their policy of using animals for testing, they replied that they did not use animals at all in the UK and only minimally in USA. Animal use, however minimal, is not necessary for cosmetics.

Since then, there has been no assurance from Avon that they do not use animals at all. so no Avon product will enter my house.

I agree with Cherry.

Ive bought things from avon a few times, in which they took around a month or more to come, which wasnt worth the wait as i got some eyeshadow which was all hard and eyeliner that just rubbed off also mascara that just didnt make much difference.

Ive only ever once been happy with something ive got from Avon and that was some kind of eyeliner/shadow pencil... from Ebay.

my aunt sells it & i used to sell (i just didn`t have enuf time to keep up with it, because i travel a lot)...i like their products & use quite a few of them...i know a lot of people think avon products are cheap, but i`ve had good results with the things i purchased & for the most part was satisfied...i especially like the newer "mark" line that avon came out with, the colors are a bit more "trendy" & up-to-date...

I like it.
My mom sold it for a couple of years.
I have:
-eyeliner
-blush
-lipgloss
-3 eyeshadow quads
-lotion
-bubble bath
-nail polish.

The only problem I have is that sometimes the colors in the book are different than the actual makeup is.
