I found a book at books a million awhile ago. It is not there now. On the cover it said something like: The other side of the story told by the wicked witch of the west or the untold story of oz

Found on Amazon, but your local library has it.
The author says it's not for kids - not until they are 16 or older.
That's disappointing - Baum would not be pleased. Oz was a pure children's story - wicked isn't. The wizard is a tyrant and good witch Glinda can't think about anything but the latest fashion.
I prefer Baum's version.
But they made it into a play and it's very successful. Seats at the Gershwin Theater for two can cost as much as $210.

Theres something called Son of a Witch, but I'm not sure... Your description sounds A LOT like Wicked though.
