I really don't know what kind of case it is...all i know is that i went to small claims court (he lost) now he has appealed it, but someone told me it's been more than 15days they would have to file a motion for dismissal. it's been more than 2 months before he filed for the appeal. Thanks!

It's 30 days for Superior Court.
It's 21 days for Municipal court.
Then there is post conviction relief in criminal cases which has no time limit.

This doesn't make sense. If you lost, why would the other party appeal?

Also, in Louisiana there are no appeals from small claims court. What might have happened is that before judgment was rendered the other party decided to move the case from small claims to the district court. They can do this unless they were the one to file in small claims.

In federal court, you have 10 days. In Arkansas state court, you have 10 days. SOME jurisdictions give you up to 30. If you state where the action is taking place, I can give you an answer specific to state action. For all federal civil court actions, you have 10 days.

"Blue Steel" is partly right. In CT at least, there is no appeal permitted in a Small Claims action. In any event, you don't have to do anything. Just wait to see what the other side happens to do. Hope this helps.
