I never thought I would fail a class, but the day has come, I got back my test grade and it's not good. I can't even comprehend why I got such a low grade....every1 in the class can't. I think this guy isn't usin the right answer key, or somethin! I felt like I knew that material like the back of my hand, and I did...I reviewed the book problems constantly, and even did online problems aswell, so I know I comprehend the subject! 2day in class the teacher was givin a formula, and then when he looked at the book, the book gave a simliar formula but flipped! ex(d=m/t teacher)(d=t/m book) (Those formulas arent any real formulas I know of, I just made those up) and he just said he didn't like the way the book was teaching, and that it was stupid. So I'm wondering if the book is teaching us to use formulas to solve problems that he's using different formulas to solve...I mean I know he's from a different country but I doubt thats possible, and yet maybe that's the case. What do I Do?

If possible, withdraw from the class. Yes, you'll get a W on your transcript, but it is better than a F. You are probably too late to do that now since it is almost May.

1) I recommend you sit down with the prof or the TA and go through the test in detail. Why? Two reasons...to see why, if you knew all the answers, they weren't right on the test. Also, because it will show them that you care and perhaps they'll be a bit more lenient on you.

2) Besides that, if you get an F...well, I don't know for sure. When I was in school, and got 2 D's, what happened is I had to retake adn the grades were averaged. So if you got an A the 2nd time around, you'd average out to a C.

First TRY to talk with the teacher. I'm sure that won't help since he thinks the book he is teaching from is "stupid". If you see you're getting no where with him (as will most likely happen since he doesn't seem to care much) go to the Principal. It may seem darastic to go directly to a principal, but since the year is almost over you'll have to retake this class anyway. But if nobody lets the principal know this prick (I mean teacher's) attitude they'll let him continue to teach in their school and more brilliant students (like yourself) will be cheated out of the grade they deserve! Thank you for focusing on your studies and trying to make a great future for our country. It's students like you who give me hope for the future. I applaud you!
