Yes, and .89 for a green pepper! I made stuffed peppers the other day and it cost me $9 just in peppers.
I attempted to plant a garden this year, but unfortunately no onions and the peppers never sprouted. All I've managed is some string beans, tomatoes and cucumbers. Tried some corn but the squirrels decided they needed it more then me. Next year I'm going to try again with an even bigger garden, because the price of produce is outrageous.

Yeah....what's up with that? They used to be inexpensive and all of a sudden the cheapest bundled onions are like $5.49 for a 3 pound bag!

well yes but the price is going up on everything. I hate the fact around here a1 gallon of milk is over $3 at some places

yes it bothers me. I wanted to make potato salad, I went to the store and celery was (and I swear) $209 a stalk, needless to say, no way and no salad. That's the bad news.
The good news is that a new produce stand is opening up in town this weekend, I will be there.

Not at all. I may skimp on other things. But I will neve skimp on groceries. My family is gonna eat well,no matter what.I know what it's like to be hungry.
