As Matt Dillon was still snoring peacefully, his girlfriend Sunshine was cooking up a nice breakfast. The U.S. Marshal had finally given up his little cold cot in his office for this nice,cozy bed ....which he shared with his new girlfriend. Miss Kitty and he had broken up. She was having a terrible time accepting it. Some were beginning to refer to it as a (6) psychotic reaction. Miss Kitty Russell had taken to drinking heavily,smoking old stogies and dancing Irish jigs to tunes that she had written....sad, menacing tunes....filled with dark ramblings.
But enough about her unhappiness....Sunshine was having the time of her life. In love with the most wonderful man in the world...and he loved HER!! (5) "God only knows how thankful I am to be loved by my darling Matt." She started singing a song that she had been writing. (Kitty wasn't the only one who could pen a tune!) (To the melody of "Here Comes The Sun") ...........♫ Matthew darling, I used to be a wee bit shady. But Matthew darling, you came along and made me a first class lady. Here comes my man. Do do do do. Here comes my man. And I say, it's alright....♫
Sunshine just had to look in on him. He was still asleep. He looked good...he looked REAL good. She decided that breakfast could wait!! As she crawled back into bed with him, Matt began to awake. As her hands began to wander under the covers, Matt spoke:"You were just (3) born to be wild,woman." Sunshine smiled that coy way that drove him crazy...." Well, I must admit, (4) I get around." Matt moved quickly and pinned her down. "You're not going to get around THIS,baby!!" As usual, breakfast was a lost cause....more food for the birds.
When Matt finally did get to work, he found Festus and Doc waiting for him. "Good morning,Matthew." " Hello,Matt."
Matt:" Good morning. S'up?" Doc and Festus both told him that they were worried about how things were changing.....Matt not spending the night in the office,Miss Kitty turning into a drunk, Sunshine parading around town leaning on his shoulder.....As Festus so succintly put it..." OMG....what's up with the universe!!!" Matt stood his ground..."(2) People get ready....here's the deal....I'm in love, Kitty needs to get a grip and I WANT Sunshine on my shoulders." ( Get it?...I ROCK!!)
As Doc and Festus left Matt's office, they were both in awe of how their friend and Marshal, was changing before their very eyes. Festus:" Doc, old Matthew is probably just in one of those ,what ya call them...hyponetic trances." Doc:" What in the tarnation are you babbling about?? Are you trying to tell me you think Matt has been hypnotized?! Is that what you're saying?!" (He shook his head and rubbed his face the way he always does when he hears an inane comment. ) Festus:"Now there you go. Gettin' all cranky and nasty. By golly,I don't think Matthew is really in love.....do YOU?" Doc took out a toothpick and started chewing on it...then looked at Festus....." Well he TOLD us he's in love....and (1) I'm a believer." And with that, he strolled off.

With a insurgent yell she cried extra, extra, extra! I were recognized to exagerate, however the cities folks had been surprised.I understand it's rough to consider, however she consistently used to be a wild lady.
