That totally depends on where you are, how much it weighs, and the quality of the bud. I live in Maine and can tell you about what it would cost here.
If it is "commercial"(everyday home-grown) it is usually $10 per gram and $30 per eighth(3.5 grams). So if it's just one little bud(enough for one joint/dooby/jibba) it'll be around $5. Sometimes if it's lower quality you can buy an eighth for $20-25.
If it's good stuff; also known as "hydro" or "kgb"(killer green bud), it's gonna cost you more. Usually about $5-10 more per gram. So about $35-45 per eighth or $15-20 for a gram.

Used to be, a "dime" had probably 10-20 buds in it, depending on quality/location/merchant. ;)
Inflation, though, for the past 10 years has probably changed that.

Dunno. Depends how good it is. If it is hydro or not. In Australia one bud would probably be 10 bux, not that I have smoked or bought it for about 15 years! I know they sell little bags stuffed full of hydro buds for $50.

I don't know what kind of weed is out there today but when I smoked pot, we got buds that were almost three inches in lenth. that was only one year ago.
