I mean they travel with from city to city to call games and make crucial decisions night to night. If i were the commisioner i would apreciate them with something like an award.

THERE IS NO NEED FOR A DARN AWARD FOR REFS. THE BEST REFS WORK THE PLAYOFFS AND GET MORE EXPOSURE AND MAKE MORE MONEY.

Do you mean like an employee of the month certificate and get their picture hung on the wall like how McDonald's does it? LOL. Refs will never get the respect they deserve for all the hard work they put in, but thats just part of the game, im sure they know it and accept it. But how do you know the commish doesnt give them perks already? I dont think they need any kind of public appreciation, its fine the way it is.
Anyways, Tim Duncan is a punk, always has been, his fake goody2shoe ugly face should go into a forest and live there forever so I'll never have to see his face again.

As Chick Hearn used to say... "They never have a home game." They know that they will have people disagreeing with most of their calls; however, they make good money working at a job they love. Not a bad way to make a living. They do not get the respect they deserve, but they know what they are getting into.

That would be a very awesome idea. That is, if you're not going to give the award to a ref who makes stupid calls all the time.

I think they should. You're right, referees get nothing but boos every game for their work. I think they should get more respect. It's not an easy thing to call an entire NBA game. Remember, there is no referee substitutions. They run the floor the entire game, and most are in their fifties for God sake!

Pro refs make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year to officiate sports games. No tears of sympathy here!
