What you are describing is called breakthrough bleeding. When this occurs it can be as a result of infection such as with the cervix and sometimes hormone medications such as the pill can cause this.
When breakthrough bleeding occurs it can act every bit like a period which is why a lot of women who experience this for the first time think it's their period.
I would definitely get in touch with your dr to have them evaluate this to see what they think.

You're lucky! When I first started mine, it lasted for a whole month! It's normal for you period to be irregular for the first year to year and a half

Yeah they shouldnt last for more than a week. I think it would be wise to go and see a doctor. There might be something wrong. And then you can do something bout it to become regular.

no it's not normal. are you on some kind of birth control .some of them can cause you to have longer or heavy periods. talk to your doctor .

its normal. your period is likely to be irregular for the first year or two. if this continues i would reccomend talking to your doctor about it. he/she will know what to do.

its possible that you could have been pregnant and the test failed, it could be a first trimester miscarriage - I would make an appointment with your doctor just to be safe.

umm..well it may be somthing bad but it may also just be related to stress or somthing like that...if it goes for a few more days then go to your docter and see if everythings ok.

well, let's start by saying no, it's not normal.could be many things , for instance , any possibility of being pregnant?if so, you could be having a spontaneous miscarriage . please see an OB/GYN or visit your local clinic ,planned parenthood , etc . to be checked .i wish you well ..
