Yes, I broke my mother in laws salt shaker that she'd had for donkeys. She told me it had vanished and she'd been looking everywhere for it, she said it was driving her insane trying to figure out where it had gone! Who knew someone could be so attached to a utensil for condiments?!

I have because I am just so clumsy, I broke a lovely bowl belonging to my mother-in-law which meant the world to her, thankfully she forgave me, I would never cover a thing like that up though.

Hell yes. I went to Wales with a friend of mine once for the weekend and we stayed at her cousins house who has a young son. We were staying in the lttle boys room and he was sleeping with his mum. We went out on the last night and I came back early as I was tired. The door was unlocked so I let myself in. Unfortunately she had locked the door to the bedroom and I couldn't get in. In the lounge there was no sofa or lounge suite as they had just moved in. There was only this blow-up Bob the Builder sofa chair thing, so I went to sleep on that. During the night the thing burst. I woke up and it was completely deflated. By this time, my friend was back and in our room, so I snuck in and went to sleep. In the morning I made out I got home after my friend, and that I had no idea how the thing burst. I knew she wouldn't have gone into the lounge when she got home and saw me so I knew I'd be safe. Felt really bad about it though.

Yes as a kid. That's why I hate touching anything of others. The fear of breaking something. That's how I am with my stuff. I prefer to touch it rather than let someone else handle it. If I break it, then it's my own fault. I was dumb. If I let someone else handle it, and they break it, You have a sense on anger, but can only blame yourself in the first place.

Is it the same if you accidently back into a car that is already scratched and messed up, but you are pretty sure you left the last little nick yourself and you drive away without a note...cringe.

Well, I broke my sister's car but eventually, she asked me and I fainted from the pressure. She never found out so I guess you can call that "covering it up."
