Purple Rain is my most favorite song, so yes! However a few MJ's songs would probably stand the test of time as well.

Even today both Prince and MJ's songs are being played now just as they were 10 years ago. Purple Rain is my favorite so if it wasn't being played, I'll play it myself.

When you speak of MJ - do you mean Michael Jackson? If so, I beg to differ. Michael's music just like Princes' has incorporated another generation of fans. I also believe that Michael is more widely known throughout the world than Prince. Michael, when popular, developed his career to span across the waters and with his philanthropic methods, was able to reach more people than Prince ever could. I love both tremendously, but I am more inclined to believe that the shear nature of sales and publicity- Michael's music would last FOREVER.

Dont agree, but how are you compairing one song to a whole catalog of MJ music...?
Of course some of them will sound old but some wont.... Like some of the slower songs by MJ.

I think Micheal jackson and Prince both have the same qualities in their music. I don't let their personal lives influence me one way or the other.

Possibly. I have a problem w/ MJ cuz of the whole little kids thing, but I have to admit he does have talent (but UGLY!)
