Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughn, Al Green, Sam Cooke, Major Harris, Otis Redding- just to name a few. if you want to find more, go to timelife's website (you know, its that company that runs infomercials at night trying to sell cd sets) and they let you hear portions of the songs on their cds. they have some really good selections of soul and the blues
