becuase australia has a depth of talent to replace even superstars of the game...
look at the likes of people who could of been representing their country had it not been australia- law, maher, mcgill and so on
all of these players would have been super stars if they had been born as english etc....
that is why australia has a great track record because we have an awesome development process and pretty much a team any other nation would envy with selectors doing their best to fit all the best talent and form player into the side...
sure they can loose games, everyone has to have a bad day but it does happen....
anyway hope this helps

It is due to the various "Sports Academy" that make Australians hard to beat in any sports.Look at the standings of the past Olympics and you will note that at about 4th place is Australia and she has only a pop of 20 million. The 3 sports that they played internationally for yrs and are not in the Olympics, they are World champions off, which are Rugby League,Rugby(off and on) and Cricket. The Aussies attitude to life is another trait that makes them hard to beat

Better preparation than most teams (they don't drink the night before or after their games....ahem Flintoff ahem)
- They maintain a fitness requirement for players to achieve. They want players to be in top shape so who ever is not in the required "Game shape", they are most likely to be dropped...so fear of this inspires these Aussies to train harder and maintain in top physical shape to make the game easier for them
- eh experience...hayden, gilchrist, ponting, symonds, hogg and mcgrath are very very experienced...most of these guys have played in 3 world cups already.
- their youngsters are very energetic and talented as well!!! Shaun Tait is right up there pace-wise with Shane Bond and he is learning a lot from Glen McGrath who's mentoring him. Good for tait that he has one of the best bowlers ever tutoring him during a huuuuge series
Michael Clarke is a top 5 all-rounder in the game right now. Doesn't he remind you more and more of a young gritty Ricky Ponting????
Their spin bowling is their weakness as they don't have a special/ primar spin bowlers that country like India (kumble), sri lanka (murali), nz (vettori) enjoy...but their spinners (hogg and clarke) are good enough to take wickets and slow the opponents run rate down when needed
Man I was supporting New Zealand all the way until today's butt whoopin...i hope they can turn it around!

its because not only they have experience at their side of being one of the oldest test playing team but also that they have a competitive domestic cricket season where the Aussie cricketers are conditioned to take on any situation available and not to forget the selection panel is very tough
hypothetically speaking i have heard that its very difficult to make it into the squad because you need to be top of your game inoder for u to be eligible for the selection
and when u r playing cricket for Australia, u have a very limited things that u can sign outside ACB
so these are the factors that determines as to why Aussies to do so well

"Because Australians have been playing cricket for many years"
so have england and india, are we are they?
both just (essentially) sacked their coach, didnt u hear about that?
australia are the best because they have the best bowlers and the best batsman. its that simple
and they know how to close out a game (see england, for a team who doesnt know)
their players are consistent, and even when one of the top batsman (gilly) doesnt score, another one (hayden) does
ponting is clearly the bst captain in the world, and will be for many years to come. and any1 who is hoping the retirement of warne, langer and martyn and the pending retirement of glenn mcgrath will decrease the winning power of the aussie team, because we have lots of brilliant young kids comin up
be prepared for hard years to come, for any other supporters

the reason its hard to beat australia is cuz of there batsmans. they have gilcrist and hayden who can put down 100 runs any given day, then they have ponting and Huessy, clarke. ponting can score 150+ any time, huessy and clarke are just like role players, they can put down 50 each any time 2. and then there bowlers are too experienced. i think they are most complete team in the world cup thats y its hard to beat them. ONE~

there are many reasons such as:
-consistency
-effort
-attitude-they are very positive
-practicing-they all practice very hard and deserve to win
-the batters and bowlers all know their duties. The bowlers hardly ever have to bat beacause thebatters get all out.
-experience-the Aussies have been playing cricket for a long time and know many tricks.
-preperation-the night before a match, they dont go to bars and drink or whatever.
-they have excellent players
-their players are really enthusiastic and energetic.
-they dont cheat
i hope the Aussies win this World Cup- they really deserve it!!!!!!!

Because they are such a strong team and unbeatable when they are in their in full form and if the other team is weak and fails to play to their full strength.
