I feel much sympathy for the survivors and for the families and friends who lost loved ones in this massacre. I'm sad that such a thing happened and that no one could have done more to stop it. It's so depressing that we live in such a violent society nowadays that things like these happen to people--and all of them were so young. I hope that everyone at Virginia Tech can grieve and mourn and then find a way to move past this. I'm glad that the killer was...well, killed, essentially. It doesn't bring nearly enough justice to the ones V-Tech lost, but it does give a little bit of peace of mind. Hopefully, NOTHING like this will ever happen again so that no more innocent people will have to suffer. I wasn't personally affected by this incident, but I feel a great sense of loss when I think about all those kids that died that day...

It makes me wish that stupid gun control proponents would shut up and let good people carry arms. If one of those 30 students was carrying a gun, chances are very good that most of them would still be alive today.
And gun control laws would not have prevented the idiot from getting a gun because his gun was stolen/obtained on the black market.
If I could afford it, I'd buy a gun today.
Oh and I don't feel bad for the killer... I've been through a lot in life and I have a lot of anger, but I would never go on a shooting rampage and kill innocent people randomly.
By the way, the idiots at Virgina Tech just passed a ban on guns (even for people with concealed gun licenses) a few days before this. Like that helped at all. Why don't people understand that criminals and nutcases don't give a sh1t about gun laws, and it's the innocent people who end up being defenseless.

It makes me feel bad. Firstly i feel bad for the killer. He went through something i went through in my life and that many others went through as well. If he needed this to stop, why the hell didn't he get any help to tackle this kind of behaviour towards him? I feel sorry for him because of the way he has been treated and because he was a senior just waiting to die.. He had a huge death wish. Second, i feel bad for the victims because those are the ones that were innocent and who were studying for a better future etc. They died. They were at the wrong place at the wrong time,. I ain't siding with the killer, he killed and if he was alive he should have been punished. But he punished his self by doing the honors of executing his self. I feel bad for the victims, but there is nothing else i can feel for them. Thirdly, i feel bad for the victims' families. They are going to be so effected by this in a negative way. But their loved ones who died were hero's, trying to save someone else's life etc. They should be honored and never forgotten. And as for the survivors, i hope they will remember the dead and remember how lucky they are..
In conclusion, it makes me feel sad, but it is something that happens and should not ever happen again.

I saw the manifesto & now I'm scared by the looks of his. It makes me paranoid. It was so unpredictable. That's why you always got to treat people right. You never know who will be your enemy. Mental illness causes too much pain for the individual himself & the people around.

Angry. I live in a free country and we are not doing everything right if people do these crazy things over and over. I want solutions, not a whole bunch of "oh look we shoulda locked him up" crap.
