Hi latinopr, Well looks like "tom4bucs" has answered your question. However, I say just jump in an "go for it"! Basically, the 2 of Clubs is the lead off card. Then just follow the "suits" that are played. If you don't have a card to follow then play another "suit". The "Hearts" are your warriors (so to speak), they hurt your opponents by adding "points" to their score. But, they can also be your "worst enemy" if they are played wrong. If your playing "Hearts" that comes with "Windows" don't worry as they are pretend players. That's the beauty of it, you can "screw-up" and nobody knows but you! When you become better, jump on into Yahoo Games and I'll play ya a game! XOXO Moonpie

Object is to win as many of the 13 hands (tricks) as you can

1. Hearts are the trump - and cannot be played unless
you are out of the suit that is played first
1a. So if the third time clubs are led - and you have none -
a heart can win it - unless the next player is out of clubs and
puts a higher heart on yours
1b. Remember to 'count' the hearts - only 13 - when they are played - the suit will win again! clubs - spades-diamonds
2. usually - you 'bet' how many trickes you can take
and get 10 points per trick + 1 for each additional trick
- say I bet three - and take 4 tricks - my score is 31
- say I bet 4 and take 4 = 40
say I bet 4 and take 3 ======= lose 100

shooting the moon - may mean that you will lose every
trick - all 13 (must have very low hearts) - win 100 if you do
if not - lose 100

once cards are played in the middle - whoever wins - puts those four in their stack and leads the next hand

deal all cards out - player to left of dealer begins -

good luck!
