is there anybody ontop the ladder? If no, then I'd just get it. If yes, I'd certainly take caution as to what they are doing atop the ladder, and politely ask if I may step under the ladder as I grab myself a lucky four leaf clover.
I'm not superstitious. I don't believe ladders are bad luck.

well u can't walk under a ladder but nothin is said about crawling or skipping or jogging etc.

Look around, put my mirror on the ground to avoid breakage, throw salt over my shoulder, and avoid the black cat crossing my path.
