This is a follow up to "Open your eyes" question when emotions, lies and not numbers where employed by rightwingers as arguments for the US being a generous nation.
Facts are to the wingnuts as like garlic is to Dracula.

It's no wonder Israel, Iran and the US are the most hated nations on earth.

America is usually the first to offer aid to countries during disasters. What country(s) offered US aid when Katrina hit?
And when we do send aid to other countries, more often than not the crooked government/armies waylay the supplies and take it all for themselves, letting their countrymen do without.
As far as the U.S. being hated, it's more of a JEALOUS reaction because of the FREEDOMS and OPPORTUNITIES afforded Americans. No other nation in the world has what we do. The things I've seen on YA being said about our governmental leaders, our country in general, and our military would get you a visit in the night by the Polizi Statzali in many countries, and you'd never be seen again. But some of these inbred yahoos don't get that. They just spout off their ignorance and think nothing of how stupid they look. I've been to 32 countries (some more than once) and stationed in 3. There is nothing that would make me to o live any place else but here!

Allow me to put this inquiry into better light...
The U.S. government is awesome when it comes to foreign aid. The best example of this is when the tsunami hit. The United States was excellent at not only the financial aspect of aiding a foreign country, but in convincing other countries to assist.
However, when Hurricane Katrina hit the "finances" just weren't available since the U.S. spent hordes of money helping someone else to worry about their own.
So its not so much a question of being cheap...its more so an issue of "pick and choose".
Lastly the U.S. government is great at assisting foreign countries to ally with them in destroying, and killing innocent people in Iraq. (soon to be Afghanistan)
:) Hope I've been crystal clear...

At first I thought this was just one of those "I have no life so I'll just rile up the folks on Yahoo!Answers.
Then I remembered that you were the one who bragged abou how "the SEC dominates men's sports."
Based on the academic standards of SEC athletics, I can now see that you are probably sincere in your question...which, to be honest...is sadder than the first option.

Have you noticed that America always pledges vast sums of money for disasters in other countries and only a small percentage ever gets there?
Check it out.

Interesting fact from that study was that the 90’s were the lowest foreign aid years – who was in power then?
"Of the four wars in my lifetime, none came about because the U.S. was too strong."
