Can you direct me to research discussing how similar EU integration is to the formation of the US considering we were a bunch of different states that are now one governemnt? Looking at teh possibility of eventually seeing the EU rival the US?

The EU is going to rival the US. I'm surprised it took them so long to start to challenge our supremacy. You'll know it's working when England joins up - because they have the strongest currency over the EU and the USA.

But the EU has is not similar to the US. The American colonies were mostly under England. Then they were provinces for a while that eventually united under one government. Europe is separate countries.

Wish you used spell check because you deflect a fantastic question in my opinion. I hope lawmakers are watching but they seem too busy rallying their own agendas.
