fictional and non-fictional. I know of the texas chain-saw massacre, Hannibal Lector (fiction) and ivan milat can anyone give me some more names with details plus any details they know about on the above. I'm studying criminal psychology, its for my essay.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was based on Ed Gein in Minnesota.
Suggest you learn the difference between mass murderers and serial killers. If you're really studying criminal psychology, shouldn't you know?

-Real Life Mass Murderers:
James Holmes, Seung-Hui Cho, Jim Jones, the Zetas Cartel, the ATF (See Waco Siege 1993)

The other poster said it right: mass murder and serial killing are different. Hannibal Lecter is a fictitious serial killer. Read about the Jim Jones and the Jonestown Massacre -- that was a mass murder.

Martin Bryant killed 36 (?) people in beautiful Tasmania. Sounds like it's getting back at him now. A recent news story was that he was self-mutilating. You can run but you can't hide, eh? Julian Knight with the Hoddle St massacre was another.
