RE:
Can a small glossary of terms be included in an APA style thesis paper? Where does it belong?

Contrary to the one answer given, it is not that easy at all to find an answer to nutritionist34 s question in the Purdue guide to APA (which is very good, generally). I have never found any guidance in Purdue or the original manual on how best to format and place a glossary. My preference is to include it as an appendix to a paper.

Generally, "answering" someone s question by aimlessly them to go look at a whole book, isn t an answer really at all. It s "filler."

Normally the styles set by major professional organizations are described somewhere on their websites--or at least how to find samples. So try the APA website.
