maybe i could go to the spa (have a facial and full body massage) or something special. I always do extravagant things for my friends bdays but never anything for me. secretly i would love to be surprised with something. but the surprise maybe to find out i should've just done something on my own.

Think of the ONE thing you've always wanted to do. For me, it was skydiving...I did that for my 24th, and I LOVED IT!! As long as you do something that you have always wanted...it's worth it.

Okay... ask a girlfriend to come with you the spa, but confess to her that you really secretly wish someone would surprise you. Maybe she will take the hint! But in case she doesn't, you have a super fun backup plan...
I think a spa is the perfect idea. I went once, and it was AWESOME!

Interesting thought and I believe you've answered it for yourself dear...If there is no one special to do something special in your estimation, why don't you treat yourself to just that? -A facial and a full body massage maybe thrown in with a manicure and pedicure sounds great to me!
As humans, we're good to others when we're good to ourselves...While its lovely to have others remember you on your birthday, its not about having them do something necessarily pricey, its about them REMEMBERING you that day to honor you in some way, small or big, doesn't matter...
Ever thought about going up in a hot air balloon? Going to a play and even dining alone? I have...very fun, even though it would have been nice to be with another, I wasn't, so I took care of ME.

I spent my 24th birthday in South Vietnam.
I boarded a C-141 transport the same day, headed for the US.
It was the happiest birthday I can remember, in fact it's the only one I can remember.
Whatever you do, make it special, or it will be just another day.
And, Hey!......"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"

usally for my birthday i get present for myself.. last year i got few animation dvd and the year before i got expensive bag for myself.. but spa seem like fun thing or you can give yourself small vacation.. to enjoy the day.. anyways happy early birthday....
