Sure.
If you're living on campus, buy ear plugs (to sleep when your roommate is partying), sandals (to step in the shower when it's gross), a laundry basket, and a hoodie of the college you go to. The hoodie you can wear all week.
As someone else noted, don't take classes before you're reasonably awake in the morning. You're not going to go to an 8 am algebra class. You know it and I know it. Don't sign up for it.
Keep all your syllabi in a folder. They have important information, like test/drop dates and info about how much tests vs participation are worth for your final grade.
Get involved in clubs (it's a great way to meet people and boost your resume) and school spirit events (which are just like parties except with more shouting)
Contrary to popular belief, we college students don't always eat pizza. We also eat chinese food and burritos. On that note, never agree to go out to eat with anyone unless they bring cash. Splitting up a check for five people because you have cash and your friends have cards is a hassle.
Red Bulls will help you stay awake more than Mountain Dews will. But don't drink Red Bulls if you can help it -- get your sleep.
Don't pull all-nighters if you can avoid it. Having four hours of sleep or less the night before means you'll fall asleep in a test or won't be able to remember simple things, like the first part of the test question you are now reading.
'The grass is always greener' -- if you transferred to another college, you'd probably run up against similar problems. There are no perfect, mythical colleges where everything goes smoothly.
Watch your laundry. People will take your stuff out in the middle of the load if you're not there.
Don't forget that you're there to eventually get a JOB. Remember that what you do (or don't do) affects the strength of your resume. Talk to people in the field you want to go into -- especially professors -- to find out what you need to do. Along those lines, never ask for a letter of recommendation from someone who doesn't call you by your first name when you pass them in the hallway. If they don't know your first name without looking it up, they don't know you well enough to write a letter for you.
And have fun!

You will be doing a lot of reading and a lot of studying (more than you can even imagine), so it is very important to budget your time. Set up a routine for yourself so that you can get it all done and still have time to socialize. Many professors have lecture type classes, especially the large Freshman classes, in which they will just talk for two hours straight. (I went to a huge school, but it might not be true in a small school). In this case, you want to learn to take good notes or even tape record the lectures. During the week after the class, review your notes. College is a fantastic experience that will change you forever. Good luck!

It's great at college, there are loads of new people to meet and usually everyone is really friendly.
You have got to make an effort to make new friends and be really outgoing... friends are what will get you through it all and they will help you through a lot!
College is hard work... you have got to revise (even if you're naturally brainy) it's a lot of hard work but in the end it's worth it.
Keep track of your grades etc and keep trying to improve... if at first you don't succeed try again... I'm coming up to the end of my first year and I've got exams soon... I didn't do too well in my last ones so I'm really kicking myself for not putting in the work!
Keep your chin up
Talk to people
Have fun
Try and hand all work in on time
Good luck hunni :)

Don't take any classes before 9 am - it really isn't the same as high school, and you'll want to sleep in. Trust me!
Don't be afraid to meet new people and try new things.
Start thinking seriously about what you want out of college and life - 4 years flys by very quickly.

Congrats first off! It will be an experience to remember...I wish I could go back! Make sure that your teachers know who you are...visit with them after class and make sure they know you are trying. Don't take school too serious...meet lots of people and make good friends while you are there...they will last a lot longer then the information you learn from a text book.

dont get into drugs, dont get pregnant, and stay a little bit ahead of the class ... so that when something goes wrong you have some slack to take up.
