My ex-boyfriend is black and he says he is voting for him because he is black. I believe someone who is politically knowledgable will vote for who they think will serve our country better but people who just vote to vote will probably go with the person who is similar to them whether it being a black individual voting for barack our a female voting for hilary.

Yes, many will. Many people will vote against him because he is black. Same with Hillary & women. I have no idea what the net effect will be for either. I doubt if anyone does since this is a type of question that many people will not answer honestly.

Some will, yes. Just as some people would vote for Mitt Romney because he's Mormon or against him because he's Mormon. All would be for the wrong reasons. Someones race, gender or religion should have no bearing. Leadership and statesmanship qualities on the issues of our day should be the deciding factor.

Just cause he's black? Hell no. I"m black and I'm not voting for him.

BTW: Obama beats Clinton in polls among black voters by little more than 10 points. Besides, national polls CANNOT determine primary elections cause the primaries are conducted state to state and only among partisans.

Blacks might vote for Barack Obama but some could choose other candidates whom they want because they have discretions.

VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know who will likely win.

I do not think they will. Obama in banking on it. He attempted to garner favor with the blacks when he gave a recent speech in Selma, Al. He had the nerve to say he had the right to say he was coming home to Selma because he was black. What happened to the half white part of him? He also told a multitude of lies about his parents and his birth and the civil rights marches - NONE of the dates lined up.
He thinks blacks are dumb enough to vote for him just because he is black, not smart enough to vote for him because of where he stands on the issues.

Maybe a few just like a few white people won't vote for him because he's black. But blacks like most other voters will choose their candidate on the basis of where they stand on the issues.

This is not a racist claim.

Barack Obama is a democrat. I say this without any offense to black people, but Most are democratic. They will vote for him for both reasons.

I am an independant, although I do support Bush as of now. I am not a racist

It's about f·cking time we have a black president. Unfortunately he lost my vote when he said he'd give Bush a blank check for the war.

No~ It is bacause he is diametrically opposed to what they really believe. Most that do are uneducated, on welfare and have made a career of it or undereducated about his postions on things that directly affect them, like Illegal Immigration, healthcare and jobs! Some people would do anything to get votes. Hillary just hired Raul Yzaguirre, past president of La Raza, for her co campaign chairperson. As far as I know they do not take well to them or whites!
