what exactly goes through the new 3 wires of the new plug in then the basic 4 pin. and what does the car say to the trailer for braking.. like how does it work?

You need to buy a brake controler that mounts under the dash.
Or pay someone to install it.

There are a couple of different types. One type has a manual lever placed under the dash that is engaged by the driver when he feels it is necessary. Another type basically reads pressure on the hitch that occurs when the brakes are applied on the tow vehicle, and in turn applies the trailer brakes

the ele brakes works off the electrical system in the vehicle-the ele brake system has to be hooked to the brake light wire on the car and when you mash the brake down it sends a signal through the light wire and activates the brake system

on the four you have your main/ ground, your left and right blinkers, and stop light. on the seven it adds reverse light option and the main power to the brake controller.
