Some parents are hypocritical. Many tell their kids not to curse, smoke, do their homework, don't lie... and many of them engage in the such.

Then parents should be punished too. If they curse when they say not to then they should know what it feels like having a bar of soap or dish liquid down their throat. If they smoke then they should be made to smoke the whole carton until they vomit. For not eating veggies they shoud know what it feels like to be the one getting their nose held and have somebody tease "here comes the choo choo". If parents were punished for the things that they tell their kids not to do then their children will be less likely to do it again seeing mom or dad punished. What do you think?

I agree. If us kids get punished, why can't we punish our parents for revenge?

Your kidding right?

We have all at one point had our mouths wash out or whatever for things we have done or not done as a child.
The point is parents are not children. And tho some tend to still act as such, most parents want what is best for there children whether they act or do the same things they are telling the kids not to.

you may desire to no longer punish a new child out of anger. that does no longer mean that folk do no longer punish babies out of anger. human beings get pissed off and lose their temper; we make errors sometimes. yet punishing out of anger and disciplining a new child once you're offended are 2 countless issues. in case you fly of the cope with and spank your new child for the reason which you have been having a foul day and that they did some thing little to annoy you it particularly is punishing out of anger. in the event that they injury your windshield whilst enjoying baseball and you're offended yet are calm while you discipline them it is distinctive. you'll be offended, yet you may desire to no longer take anger out on a new child. and that i do no longer spank. i detect that speaking and time-out works completely properly. I even have spanked earlier and that i hated it through fact it grow to be out of anger. I lost my temper and did it with out questioning. I even have not spanked in years.

I think that adults should get to do whatever the hell they want. They've been in the teenager's position before, they've done their time. I think parents are allowed to be hypocritical to some degree; their hearts are usually in the right place.

Parents are hypocritical assholes, get used to it.

Take my mom for example. She swears all the time, but once when I said "damn" in front of her, she looked like I just slapped her in the face.

Parents are supposed to be role models for their children, so it's extremely hypocritical to punish your children for things that you do yourself.
