I can understand no firearms, but the right to petition and freedom of speech??? This is the free country, yet just because somebody chose the random age of 18, we can't do the same things somebody who passed a test to become an American, who can also go and buy guns and other questionable items while we are legally stuck in school for over 10 years that those immigrants never had, and yet they still have more rights that native students who may even understand the culture and laws better than they. Is that right???

Students have rights in schools. Unfortunately, public and private schools both get much money from the govt and in turn they follow stricter guidelines. Think if them like a govt building or an airport.

People under age have fewer rights cause they are responsible to someone else. Once you are on your own then you get all the rights. While your parents are in charge over you.. sorry girl... you don't have a free reign.

Maturity is acting your age. If you are under 18.. ENJOY it and be that age... soon.... poof.. you will be old.

I guess we could take that random age of 18 and bump it back to 21. Would that make you feel better? What are you not able to do that you feel immigrants are able to do?

Students have tons of rights in schools. What specifically do you want to do that you're not being allowed to do?

Sorry... I don't know what you're whining about. Until you reach 18, you're a MINOR.

The rest of your "rant" is nothing more than that... a rant.

I find your question provoking because it appears the school
systems, in my opinion, have tried and alot of their protocol is not working well.
