He was using our riding mower, and he's not that bright, and somehow didn't notice. The WHOLE black plastic garbage bag wrapped around the thing that holds the blade on, and while I was able to get about 14 inches out and cut away, the rest is stuck in a crevice that runs all the way around the pole (I'm not too lawnmower literate) that holds the blade on, and seems to have actually been sucked down into crevice. Does anybody have any idea on what I could do to get it out? I'm not too mechanical, so I don't have a whole lot of options that involve anything too sophisticated mechanically.

Thank you.

I know you said your not handy but you'll probably have to take the blade off. It's only one nut and it's pretty important to get the entire bag out. I'd have your brother-in-law do this so he'll think next time he's running stuff over with your mower. Good luck!

I agree with the first answer here, but would just like to add something on....be very sure you disconnect the spark plug wire from the engine prior to any work around the blade. If you then can't get the bag fragment removed, you may have to take it to a repair shop. Hope this helps.

You should be able to cut this out carefully with an Exacto-Knife or small utility knife. Slice one side and peel it away. Use tweezers if it is really down in there.
