Global warming is a documented phenomenon - but whether it's caused by human activity has not been proven. It is also a function of average global temperature - and, even as temperatures climbe on average, they can be unseasonably low in some areas. For instance, it's entirely possible that rising ocean temperatures could change currents in the Atlantic that would result in a sort of 'ice age' in Europe.
Then again, it might not. We're talking about a science - predicting global weather patterns - that is in it's infancy (and, has, so far, failed to make an accurate prediction).

Global warming is real. The world is warming by less than a degree. What people argue about is who's fault it is. Al Gore's documentary is full of lies and misleading information. Many scientists believe that it might be just another cycle of the Earth's atmosphere. We routinely go through warming and cooling periods.
Your question about the severity of the winter is a good one. However, just because the world is warming doesn't mean that we wont have severe winters. The warming weather actually causes more severe winters. The increased liquid water on the planet and in the air cuases more storms and more extreme weather. The world is warming and this will cause more severe weather be it winter blizzard or summer hurricanes.

All liberal philosophy, ideas, and values are rooted in a lie, this is no exception. There may be a general gradual tendency towards warming. The warming, however, is not caused by man. It's the height of human arrogance to even think we could change the weather. There seems to be a cyclical pattern in climate every 1500 years or so. As far as I am concerned, it's too cold. What makes people think that the weather we have now is optimal? I could do with a few degrees warmer, but I won't see it in my lifetime. The concept of global warming is political. It's designed to stop economic expansion. It's a lie and the father of all lies is behind it. He increases poverty and expands jealousy of the rich. makes the people who are doing the best for the most people into criminals in the eyes of his unwitting minions.

Most of the U.S. used to be marshy wetlands. And then we hit an iceage. This was millions of years (if not more) ago. Its a cycle the earth goes through. We just happen to be keeping a ridiculous record of something we cannot change.
Dont worry about it. Al Gore (and his recently all the sudden 'smart' friend Leo Dicaprio) obviously have no amazing scientific skills. If the REAL scientists cant tell us whats going on and they have the tools and schooling to do the tests,.......then al gore certainly has NO idea what he is talking about.
this is all about getting the dems back into the whitehouse in 08.

There are currently two causes for all of the problems in the world: George Bush and/or global warming. The sun has been causing global warming for about six billion years. I personally would like to see it continue warming the earth for another forty years. After that, I should be dead and won't care what happens.

Global warming has less to do with how cold the winter is and more to do with rising temperature in the polar regions. As the ice caps melt, the sea level rises, and thats how the destruction occurs. Coastal cities will be in danger of permanent flooding, among other things.
To assume "global warming" means warmer weather in general is an incomplete conclusion.

Don't feel something you learn and simplest one million/two of what you notice. Of direction, Global warming is truly. The final Ice age has long gone away, has it no longer? So, we ought to have international warming. Do humans give a contribution to international warming? Probably a few small quantity, finally we ARE Warm and we breath in oxygen and breath out CO2, we ought to be side of the crisis. What is Al Gore going to do approximately it? Kill a entire lot of humans? Invariably that's what Socialists do after they take manipulate of a nation. Is that greater than destroying their economic system and inflicting thousands to starve to loss of life?

You obviously don't understand the concept of global warming, and how it leads to cooling. But I will spare you the science lesson and encourage you to look it up on your own, and not listen to talking points.
If you create a market for stemming pollution, it will create an influx of cash in industrialized countries, meaning it doesn't cost you or I anything more, but potentially less because we are paying high prices for energy already. Again I urge you to look at "cap and trade" system proposed by several politicians.

Well there most be something wrong for the earth to do weird things... and if is not all the harm, we are doing to it then I really have no idea what could be.
I don't believe that you care more about the economy than about your life or your next generation, or all the next ones to come...
Something must be done, and if is sacrificing economy then let it be.... besides that economy will not be sacrificed actually it will find another way to grow.
