Re: Battery doesn't hold a charge well

As far as the charging process goes, newer lithium-ion batteries have no memory effect like the old nickel batteries used to. So just a good full complete charge the first couple of times will condition your battery. After that you can charge it whenever you need to. It will not hurt it if you charge it everynight. I usually don't charge it in the car unless I really need to.

It's good to turn your phone off and on at least once a week to reset your software and keep it running smoothly just like a PC.

If the battery is irretrievable; buying a new battery is more expensive rather than getting a new one.

For the First Three Cycles, please make sure to charge the battery fully and drain it down before recharging.
• This will properly condition the battery and will ensure that it will operate at its maximum capacity.
• You can discharge most cell phone batteries by unplugging it from the AC charger and leaving it turned on until completely discharged. By recording the total discharge time from full charge to shut off is the only way we can test performance of a rechargeable battery (there is no "tester").

For all batteries: A slow (AC) charger works best. It is recommended to charge the battery for 14 hours initially and not use a fast (car) charger for this

You could buy a new battery, or you can get a new plan, a new phone or better yet. I will let you buy my husbands phone, he's dropped it many times and it doesn't have any problems so a few more drops it should be ok.

If you didn't really like your phone sell it, take the money and get a really cool small one, in one of those cool colors or better yet just sell it and buy a laptop you can make calls on it, with net2phone, play games, do your work and turn it off without anyone bothering you. Who needs anymore leashes? Best of luck

Have you tried taking the battery out and putting it in again? Dumb question I know but it has helped me before, maybe you could try a phone shop to see if they could help, they're used to people coming in for help.
Sorry to break it to you but you might just have to replace the battery.

My old one used to do that, so I got a new one. Cell phone batteries are mysterious.

Get a new battery...or put it on a hot radiator for a few mins to revive it.
