That is a great question, let's ask the parents that buy these clothes for their girls about this.

I agree that shorts and skirts are getting much shorter, and I don't think that's a good thing. I was recently at a store looking through clothes and I saw a pair of shorts that I could have swore were suppose to be a pair of underwear, they looked so short and tight. What I can't stand is when these women dress like this and wonder why they get the crude comments from men.

Actually I've seen some lovely, flowing knee-length skirts that are very pretty and comfortable to wear, lately.
MY problem is with the low waistlines, and when a girl sits down you can see her plumber crack. I always be sure to snicker within earshot when I see this.
Plus it means I have to go to old granny stores to find jeans that fit, because I had a baby last year and oh so sorry my Mommy tummy isn't flat like a 17-year-old's. Low-rise jeans look horrible on me but jeans that come near the waist are dang hard to find.
I despise high fashion, anyway. Anyone who has nothing more to care about that what eyebrow shape is in vogue this summer needs a frigging life!!!

This is entirely true...the height of womens skirt's is related to the state of the economy, truth.
"Stockbroker Ralph Rotnem noticed that the long-term trends of stock prices and the hemlines on women's skirts appear to be connected. Skirt hems rose to miniskirt shortness in the 1920s (flappers) and in the 1960s (mods), peaking with stock prices in the US both times. Floor-length fashions appeared in the 1930s and 1970s (the Maxi), and the price of stocks dropped at the same time."

I have seen them shorter before, but women - especially young women - seem to be less relaxed about revealing. If you can wear the same outfit without a skirt, you dont feel it's more revealing with the skirt on.

With the way issues are going, i does no longer be greatly surprised if the skirt went lower back to longer lengths and a variety in modesty even have been "in" sometime contained in the close to destiny. in case you seem on the rage in autos, kitchen home equipment, adorning, etc. it for sure exhibits that previous it the hot "new" with manufacturers regressing their designs to those of a "classic" era the place innocence grow to be respected. i comprehend i'm individually getting ill of media hoes like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. Who provides a damn approximately them? it variety of feels like different absolutely everyone seems to be initiating to desert the scantily clad and scandalous and are extra open to classification and splendor. additionally, individuals have become too fat for the skirt to get any shorter. in line with risk in Europe, however the low-upward thrust jean type is going away as we slowly comprehend that booty-cleavage isn't beautiful and we are in basic terms too super to cram ourselves into teeny-tiny clothing.

Hemlines go up and down all the time! Fashion is always changing.
Yes, some skirts are so short they are more like "butt wraps". That is TOO SHORT.
I've been around awhile and have seen hemlines go way up and way down. I remember the first "mini-skirts" and "hot pants".
Teen age girls love to push the limits, and it is up to the adult generation to teach them appropriate dress for different circumstances.

If women think that is sexy for them, then leave them be because they think it is sexy for them. It's how you express yourself. I like wearing a tucked in black polo shirt with a tie and pants which show manhood because I like to express I am a productive member of society and not look like some dodgy person.
If women wanted to express how sexy they are (which I am not complaining here), then they have as much right as guys wanting to wear a business suit to look successful. We all humans look at appearance. We all want to express something and what we wear is a reflection of what we want to express.
It's shocking to find women wearing skirts which are becoming smaller. On teenagers, they are young and sexy. On middle age adults, I would be shocked when adults should dress their age. And senior citizens wearing young clothing like teenagers... that's beyond immoral!

Because many girls idolize sluts like Madonna, Paris Hilton, and Britney Spears.
Yeah, I'll bet they're churchgoers. They're sucking d**k in clubs Saturday night, and using the same mouth to sing in the church choir on Sunday mornings.

As they say, "There's not enough material in them to give a moth heartburn!"
I am a high school teacher and I am appalled by the short skirts and shorts.....and equally appalled at males who can't be bothered to pull up their pants. I see more of guys' underwear and cracks of their buttocks than I see of short skirts and shorts of girls AND low-cut shirts .... COMBINED!!!!!
