I mean (1) why are we kicking people out just for being Gay when we are desperately in need of people? and (2) Should we have acknowleged Gay units and keep them together? and (3) if we kept them together as units, is it better to send them to (a) Iraq for so called "peacekeeping" or (b) to Afghanistan for an actual "war" and "combat"?
I think my original phrasing was misinterpreted in the worst possible way, and I think that says more about the answerers than it says about me.

Iraq could do with a bit of a tidy up.
It's such a mess.
There's dust everywhere, and their fashion sense is terrible..

I think that no matter a persons sexual orientation I will be grateful that they are willing to put their life on the line for my freedom and I am thinking as far as the military goes they should be treated as an equal. Everyone sins and that is just a sin so what makes them any different then you or me. You can't say you don't sin without the knowledge that you are doing so before hand.
