I would like to know the proper way to apply eyeshadow using two or more colors. I think eye make up is so pretty. However, it can look horrible if applied incorrectly. Can someone please help me?

The best way is to go on www.marykay.com and play around. They have "Virtual make over" page where they will show you how to put make up properly. Highly recommend!

this is what I do
* Apply foundation on my face and my eye lids as well and under my eyes. cover face with foundation from head to jawline.
* if you've got dark circles use a concealer under your eyes and make sure to get one shade lighter than your foundation.
*I use white eye shadow and brush it under my eyes and the top eye lids from top lashes to bottom eye brows.
*then i use beige on my crease and my eye lids so the white above it highlights my eyes and makes eyes stand out more. I also apply under my eyes over the white i just applied.
* then on the corner of your crease use a darker shade like brown, blue, torqouise, purple. Start from the outside corner and blending it inwards just brush in and you'll get the look you want. I normally use all three sometimes four or five colors. but I only use ONE dark shade of eye color.
* then I line my eyes top and bottom. to prevent eye liner from smearing or bleeding you need to use the same shade eye shadow and apply it right over your eye liner and as well as on the bottom. then curl lashes and wiggle your mascara on top and use tip of mascara to apply on the bottom.

my preference is: I put a white (or very light color) on my lid and under my eyes and also along brow bone, then take a gray/black color and sweep it in the crease. i use black or blue eyeliner smudged along top and bottom lash line. If its for the evening I follow the white along my brow bone with a white/pale shimmer to acent.

this is for three colors:

1. use the lightest color over the entire lid and up to your brow bone
2. use the medium color on the lid only
3. use the darkest color on the outer corner of the lid and blend, also blend some into the crease of your eyelid
