Im thinking about using laser hair removal on my chest area....i want to get a tattoo and I heard that was a good idea. Anyone know how much this is? Does it hurt? Does it work?

You can expect 5-6 treatments to cost around $1,500....some providers then offer a 2 year guarantee for any additional treatments you need. I had 5 treatments on my neck and had great results. As far as laser hair removal on you chest, it does work, but you need multiple sessions ( 6 to 12 ) every 2 months. It is painless, the cost about 500 to 800 per session.
As far as Tatoo, it does not work good no matter what technology you used.

The problem is that laser hair removal (if it works) is permanent. The fad for hairless chests is temporary. You may REALLLLLLY wish in five years time that you had your manly hair back. I'd strongly suggest never making any kind of permanent bodily changes for the sake of fashion, which is notorious for changing. Right now the 2007 look is hot. How hot will it be in 2010?

It doesn't hurt but it doesn't work either. My sister has been doing it for over a year on her arms and little hairs on her top lip. It simply doesn't work and is just an expensive gimmick. For the little fuzzy hairs on my top lip,...I use Surgi-Cream from Sally's Beauty Supply. IT WORKS!!!! It's a cream,...simply dab it on thick, leave for 6-8 minutes and wash (gently) with a warm cloth. It also comes with a conditioner to apply afterwards. Be sure and read the box because it comes for all different ares for your body, like face, legs, arms,...etc. I'm a girl so if you're doing that much hair (chest) you may need 2-4 boxes and it's only $3.99

laser hair removal is moderately expensive ($250 per treatment depending on size of area and facility)
It doesn't hurt if done right.
for the hair removal to be permenant it could take 5 treatments or more (a package deal is usually offered for multiple treatments at a discount).
