The Virginia tech Massacre was by far the most deadly college or high school massacre in USA history.

I believe there are some sick people with a video game mentality who will see it as a challenge to try and kill more than 32 people.

possibly... scary thought

I also believe this but not just because of video games. I watched Glenn Beck the other night and he says the media seems to now have a tally sheet mentality. It's all about numbers now it seems. After 9/11 where over 3,000 got killed it takes something big, like 32 being killed, to make an impression anymore. If the media keeps up with this attitude, someone out there will be saying "say, I can beat that record".

People will have to be more aware from now on and keep watch for "signs". Even if those signs come to nothing and the other person becomes upset for being reported, tough. It will pay in the long run to be safe rather than sorry later on and be the one who says after the fact "I should have seen the signs and done something".

It's bad enough that the media has to make a 'field day' out of this horrific crime. The same day this was reported on ABC television, someone in the news said there will be copycats to deal with next. And that is what is happening now. I don't like video games, but to bring this into the equation is not the solution. The solution lies with every state having tough gun control laws like Connecticut. Anybody with a mental illness would not qualify to purchase a firearm in that state. Virginia and other states with similar laws like Virginia must change their laws to be more stringent, similar to Connectcut's laws.

George Bush already achieved over 100,000 kills of innocent civilians by proxy.

Gun ownership in Iraq didn't stop that sicko.

Included in the body count are children at over 50%.

Bombed, shot, decapitated, suffocated, burned alive by chemical munitions (white phosphorous) , tortured, raped, poisoned by depleted uranium shells, and poisoning of water supply (Fallujia) and numerous other methods.

And these are only the crimes committed against Iraqi children by American G.I.s (1/2 of whom had re-elected George Bush).

I agree with you totally about the video game mentality and it goes all the way to The White House.

Each of us do not need to carry a gun to be guilty of complicity.

As for Cho, the network broadcast of his diatribe (and challenge to others) will guarantee copycats and hero worship leading to further deaths of young people.

You will see other murderers dressed and posing like Cho with similar weapons and (alarmingly) using similar methods of systematic entrapment (so cleverly broadcast by the media).

Not only does the US give its children the weapons to massacre, it broadcasts the most efficient methodology in order to do so.

Still selling those first shooter video games (trainers) to lonely and socially dysfunctional young kids is never going to solve the problem.

I am not even going to comment on gun ownership as unfortunately, as an American you are unlikely to be in the tiny minority there that fully comprehend.

With as much press as this guy and his video and photo's have gotten I'm sure there is someone else out there, reading all this stuff, and setting his sights for higher goals to get more press and publicity. It's a sad state of affairs but I have been thinking the same sad thought all week as the story and photo's have been shown over and over again.

nearly all of middle college/junior extreme scholars may well be accountable. you does not be waiting to easily arrest bullies after a extreme tragedy, yet extremely all bullies might desire to be arrested in the previous that tragedy occurs. That pronounced, maximum infants between the an prolonged time of 11 and 15 may well be accountable. those are the main confusing years for many individuals; the chemical and hormonal variations interior of their bodies are accountable. whether that's the incredibly tall guy or the fast one; the fat guy or the thin one; the flat chested female or the "early bloomer;" the baby with zits, or the only with braces. to not point out how a number of of a place the different intercourse starts off to play in this degree of progression. the factor is, little ones do not extremely understand who they are in this time, and that they desperately pick to slot in someplace. i will undergo in ideas how in common college there have been no major cliques, yet as quickly as middle college began, anybody began to divide up and anybody grew to become speedy to point out the modifications approximately one yet another. no person grew to become into "bully unfastened." anybody pronounced some thing degrading, if basically as quickly as, to somebody else, and it could basically take one remark to commence a individual to grow to be self sufficient from from society. This being the case, as I see it besides, it may well be impossible to arrest people who bullied the monster of Virginia Tech, because of the fact it would set a precedent which in turn might deliver approximately our prisons being greater overly populated than they already are right this moment.

Yes, these two trolls will pick up where cho-cho left off. nian3555 and waiching liu are the ones reporting everyone for no reason, report them back and point out that people at Yahoo do not have the right to censor us just cos we don't agree or sympathise with them.

That's what I've been thinking, maybe they need to stop mentioning the exact number that he killed and stop giving that number so much attention.
That is a really scary thought, kids out there might be glorifying this guy and ultimately want to top him one day!!!

If some sicko does, it has nothing to do with NBC showing his videos, it has everything to do with him murdering 32 random people. You may just as well blame video games, movies and wars, if you are going to blame his videos.

Cho Sung Hui was mentally disturbed! The news management at NBC is equally mentally disturbed! If they had not done exactly as Cho Sung Hui wanted (broadcast his bs), other crazies wouldn't think about it. But, because of the utter stupidity at NBC, other crazies will kill to try to get their "Manafestos" on television also.

It is an unfortunate thing, but yes, there will be a copy cat attitude from someone, just to be in the news, and again, the media will dissect the individual and in the end make him the victim.we live in a country that glorifies criminals with our music, our movies and even our games
