i have just planted some love-in-a-mist seeds in some small peat pots which i can plant in the ground outside once they have developed but i was just wondering where's best to keep them until then?

would it be ok to keep them on my window sill where they will get the light but still be kept relatively warm?

Yes- they will germinate faster if you keep them at room temperature rather than sitting them outside where they get warm days and cool nights. They take about 10-14 days to germinate, and once they have you can keep them in a well lit spot until they have a few leaves then plant them outside. They're hardy so it doesn't matter if there is a late frost.

Window ledge is fine, cover the pots with transparent plastic bags so the moisture stays within and they don't dry out. I planted some and I actually sprinkled them straight onto the flowerbed and they thrived well.

At this time of year you can actually plant the seeds where you would like them to flower. Just keep moist. I grew them like this last year and had a mass of flowers. Pretty too.

just stick the whole tray outside in a sunny spot, they are hardy and it won't do any harm and you will get sturdy strong plants. a windowsill may make them go leggy.
