It doesn't matter what age you are. You can listen to any kind of music if it appeals to you. Seniors probably don't understand the lyrics of most songs in today's music world. There are a lot of adults who like the type of music that most teenagers like too.
Me personally, I don't care if the band or artist isn't out anymore, I still listen to their songs. I only spent 3 years of my life in the 80's but I love a lot of the songs from that decade. Even songs from the 70's too! For me, it could be country, pop, punk, reggae, soca, anything, if I like that song, it's going on my playlists. ;)

They listen to stuff from the '50s, the '60s and the '70s. Heavy metal and punk came from the '60s and '70s so the fathers and sons could be jamming to The Scorpions and Van Halen.

I am a little over 30 and I listen to a little of Everything!!! That is the way my parents were too. They listened to oldies and those beyond old. They listened to new stuff, classical and country. We just didn't listen to vulgar and stupid music! that was based on our opinion!!

Kids listen to rap....way too much. And as for "back then", kids listened to rap. It started in the 80's, not new. (just as derogatory then too)
I listen to alternative rock.

dunno, i`m an "adult" & i listen to rock, punk, 70`s glam, industrial, pop-punk, electro, goth, darkwave & alternative...i might have gotten older, but my musical tastes have remained pretty much the same...i know a lot of people`s musical tastes seem to mellow when they start getting older, but if anything, my tastes have expanded to include more artists that are not so "mainstream"...i don`t buy music because it`s in the charts or popular with a certain "group" of people...if anything, i prefer artists that are not so well-known or commercialized, they haven`t changed their music in order to sell more records...
