you know what? i have always felt the same way! i am very fem but have hated the notion that i should have to 'fix' myself up for the outside world all my life. so, i make sure i am nicely groomed, hair, clothes, nails, jewelry, etc. might put on a little base and powder to even out my skin tone. put on a little eyeshadow and rouge if i'm in the mood but NEVER would i feel i have to put anything on my face to make an appearance anywhere! i keep my skin fresh with proper cleaning and mask treatments and that is who i am. - no regrets. i do allow myself a slight tan to keep myself from looking pale but i do it only occasionally and naturally when i do. 15 mins. in the sun 1-2x a week does the trick and is not harmful.

i'm glad you too are shirking all those cosmetic ads in favor of being more natural. don't le the media tell you how you most present yourself in order to be valuable.

I think if you do regular facials and use a daily regiment then you should be fine. I am 28 going on 29 and never wear makeup (The most I wear is lipstick when I do) and I get ID'd everywhere I go. I use Loreal Adult Acne system, even as an adult I do suffer from acne and this helps with that as well as keeping my skin feeling soft and looking young so that I do not HAVE to wear makeup...when I do, it's because I want to. Good Luck!

I only wear makeup if I am going out to dinner or out for the evening. Usually I wear very little makeup during the day at my job in a office. I put a little concealer on blemishes or if I have circles under my eyes and lip balm to protect my lips. It's a very bold thing to go without makeup for a whole day. Try to go without makeup on a weekend and see how you feel at the end of the day.

Sunless tanners are ok but you have to make sure you apply them evenly or they will look streaky.

~I went through the same thing not too long ago. What I did was stop wearing make-up (unless I was going out on a date or to a club) & started really taking care of my skin. It takes a lot of getting used to, but pretty soon, you'll start to feel pretty without it. I highly doubt that you look horrible without make-up, you probably just aren't used to it. Try just gradually decreasing your use of it; maybe just wear eye shadow one day, or just a blush the next, so that way you can pace yourself, & find the products that enhance your natural beauty. Good luck!! ;)

The best self tanner I ever used (I've tried many) is Neutrogena's Instant bronze. They have one for the body and one for the face. I usually combine it with moisturizer and it goes on really smooth and it it instantly tans you so you don't have to wait for results. Besides the self tanner, all you really need to do is exfoliate and moisturize. Maybe a little lip gloss too!

Ugh, I know how you feel! I get so bored with having to get up every morning and put on my "face". I feel like I have to, I look comletely different without it. I have just decreased the usage of mine. Got a good coverage powder and put that on just to make it so I can leave the house. Honestly, I doubt you look as bad as you think you do without it. We are all very judgmental on ourselves, but to everyone else, I bet you are a lot prettier than you think!

Well in theory to look better you can

Drink lots of water
Exfoliate regularly
Cleanse tone and mousturise twice a day
Get loads of exercise
Eat healthily

If you have a good blood flow to your face then your skin will look healthy which is the most important thing.

I don't like wearing makeup myself. When you wear makeup for a very long time, and you remove it, you look pale. When I was a teenager, I wore makeup everyday. I looked pale and unattractive. What I did is wore less makeup until I did not look so pale. Maybe a little mascara, lipstick or a little eyeliner. Light makeup is best, I think.

You can use products on your face if you have blemishes. And you can use tinted moisturizers. Ones that wont clog your pores. You can just line your eye brows and lipgloss and mascara. that's a more natural look also. well hope you find something and hope these give you an idea of how you want your look.
