Plan B does several things to prevent pregnancy. It inhibits ovulation, preventing an egg from being released. It also thickens the cervical mucous, making it harder for sperm to get into the uterus. And finally, it makes the uterine lining inhospitable to a fertilized egg. It does not kill a "baby," because there is no embryo yet.

No it is NOT killing a baby.
Plan B, or levonorgestrel (aka "the morning after pill") is NOT an abortion pill and does NOT kill a baby. Plan B prevents ovulation (the release of an egg from an ovary), disrupts fertilization (joining of the egg and sperm), and inhibits implantation (attachment of a fertilized egg to the uterus). It is a form of progesterone, which is a female hormone involved in conception.
If a woman is already pregnant, Plan B will have NO effect and will NOT kill the baby.

no, it does not kill a baby. there is an abortion pill, but it is not the same as the plan b pill. the plan b pill has exactly the same ingredients as many birth control pills, only in a stronger dose. all it does is prevent ovulation or fertilization. there is no destruction of life. the abortion pill, on the other hand, is called mifepristone, or ru-486, and is used to induce an abortion. it has been banned in the US after the deaths of several women who had used it.

It is also called the "morning after pill". If a woman has sex and suspects that she may have been fertilized, plan B will stop the process of the egg developing into an embryo and subsequent fetus. It is used the day after sex to prevent pregnancy. It is most effective when used within 72 hours of intercourse.

Plan B is to be taken just after the egg is fertilized, so it is not a baby yet. Plan B can be helpful in TRUE EMERGENCIES, but it is not to be used as a birth control method. There are few studies on the long term effects it can have on a woman's fertility, either. So if you use it, use it carefully.
Good luck

it is the day after pill.it prevents the egg if fertilized from implanting itself into your uterus... thus causing a period.... if you are not prepared/nor can afford a baby it is an injustice to them. alot of women take it if they have forgotten to take their birth control, did not use protection, so in theory one does not know if they have conceived 1 day after sex act

It also makes you as sick as a dog. My sister took it once, and she couldn't stop throwing up for 3 days.
