Yeah, it's from Hendrix and yeah, it's really "...'Scuse me while I kiss the sky....", BUT, Frank Zappa did a version off his "The Best Band You Never Heard In Your Life" where they actually use the "...Scuse me while I kiss this guy....". Cheech Marin also used those lyrics in one of the Cheech and Chong movies and/or in his movie "Born In East L.A.".

Are you joking? It's Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix...and the lryics are, "'scuse me while I kiss the SKY! " Maybe guy makes more sense but it was the sixties. We kissed the sky.
