I personally think that the playoffs should be decided by what team is best, not by East or West divisions...
For some reason this year the West is way better than the East. It's not fair for those teams in the West that don't get a chance in the playoffs even though they are better than the teams in the East. The playoffs would be way more exciting if the best teams, no matter what division they were in, got to play.

I would be extremely surprised if this happened, but don't count out the rest factor due to the very fact that the East is weaker. It could likely be the case that Dallas/Phoenix/San Antonio wins the West by dueling it out in 7 games, whereas a motivated Detroit, let's say, beats Cleveland or Toronto in 5 games. Last season, Miami was well rested coming into the Eastern conference finals and won the first game in Detroit, then just maintained their home court to win the series. This is unlikely to happen in this year's Finals but anything is possible.

Everyone has a chance in the playoffs except the teams that didnt make it lol, thats why the playoffs are soo exciting anything can happen.

That's what people asked last year and the heat defeated the mavs so you never know I think detroit is the only team who has a chance unless d wade is at his best
