I am 5 and a half months prego and about 2 weeks ago I started feeling my baby move. She was constantly going like she was jumping rope all day with her umbilical cord. Now last night I had this really bad cramp in the left side of my tummy. It hurt so bad I cried myself to sleep. Now I haven't felt the baby move all day. Should I be concerned and call the dr?? How long should I give her to move before I call a dr?? Please any info would be great this is my first and I don't know whats normal and whats not....

Drink either a cup of orange juice, or a coke, and lay down. If you don't feel the baby move within about an hour, give your doctor a call. The baby could just be sleepy, and the sugar will get him or her to wake up. But like I said, if the baby doesn't start moving after that...go ahead and call the doc. They may want to do an ultrasound to check things out.

I Would Go Straight To The Dr. To Be Sure That Everything Is Ok. That Happened To Me With My Second And I Was Rushed In. Thankfully For Me It Wasn't Serious But I Was Told That There Were Many Reasons Why It Could HAve Been Serious. Good Luck, Congrats And Go Call That Dr!

Call your doctor. When I was around 5 months pregnant with my first child, it felt like he didn't move for about 2 days so I went in and had a non stress test. It turned out he was just fine. Your baby may have been moving all night and you didn't feel it. Try not to worry, but definately give your doctor a call.

Were it not for the painful cramp u mentioned I'd have said u waited 24hours b4 calling the doc. But as it is now, pls do call him/her and have him check the baby.
Ordinarily, ur baby may be sleeping or resting and u may not feel its movement for hours. Moreso at an early stage such as yours, movement is not so rampant until a bit later. But like I said earlier, the cramping calls for attentiona nd u shd get checked. I hope everything will turn out ok.

i was nervous to about not really being able to feel the baby move when i was 15 wks and the baby is still pretty tiny, so i wouldnt worry. As u get further along, the movements will be stronger. I am now 26 wks and i was cuddling with my fiance and he felt the baby kick him in the butt 3 times. U have nothing to worry about and u will be fine. When u hit 24 wks, u start counting kicks, where u have to feel the baby move 10x in one hour. u will be fine, just relax, but if it makes u feel
better then go back and see your doc.

for all the knuckle heads that answered about feeling kicks and counting....u guys are dum. when u hit the 3rd trimester, is when u start counting...10x in one hour...man u guys are f u c k i n g retarded

Just be safe and call the doctor now. Try to drink some ice cold water or juice and see if that starts up any movements. Good luck to you.

Go to the dr ASAP. Cramps are nothing to play around with. they could be a sign that you are having a miscarriage or some sort of fetal distress. Its always better to be safe than sorry!!!

She might have pinched a nerve (on you) but I would rather be safe than sorry, especially if you are still cramping, either call your doc or go to ER, if you are in that much pain that you feel that you want to be checked out.
