Depo is a very horrible drug!! It took almost two years for my periods to get "normal" again. Read this.

Depo Provera AttorneysDepo Provera, manufactured by Pfizer, is a hormone-based method of birth control injected every twelve weeks. It has been associated with the significant loss of Bone Mass Density [BMD] plus subsequent development of osteoporosis and osteopenia.Studies have shown that women taking Depo Provera, for more than five years, increased their risk of developing osteoporosis by 50 percent and many of these women have no family history of osteoporosis. There is also evidence that diminished bone mass density continues to affect women even after they have stopped using Depo Provera and may be irreversible. This is particularly disturbing for women in their childbearing years, because it may complicate pregnancy, or lead to an inability to have children. The FDA issued an order on November 14, 2004 directing all Depo-Provera packaging and promotional materials to contain the following "black box" warning: "Use of Depo-Provera Contraceptive Injection may cause you to lose calcium stored in your bones. The longer you use Depo-Provera Contraceptive Injection the more calcium you are likely to lose. The calcium may not return completely once you stop using Depo-Provera Contraceptive Injection. Loss of calcium may cause weak, porous bones (osteoporosis) that could increase the risk that your bones might break, especially after menopause. It is not known whether your risk of developing osteoporosis may be greater if you are a teenager when you start to use Depo-Provera Contraceptive Injection. You should use Depo-Provera Contraceptive Injection long term (for example, more than 2 years) only if other methods of birth control are not right for you." They may but it can take up to a year to get the effects of the depo out of your system. Depo tends to be a very nasty drug even though is works well for some it is not good for others and lots of people have problems when they come off of it.

My periods were horrible after I got my tubes tied, too.
I lived with it for 7 years before I finally got a Mirena IUD.
It has taken 18 months, but my periods are like a BC pill period now.I even skipped it altogether in March!
Talk to your Dr. and keep going back until they get you feeling better.
Good luck

Maybe try a different birth control pill? Birth control pills can lessen the cramps and the bleeding, so I used them even after I had my tubes tied.

If you want the cramps and bleeding to stop for good, check into "uterine ablation" which is outpatient surgery.
