There´s nothing that can ever justify ignorance really but i can have understanding for it...because it has alot to do with tolerance and alot to do with the way you grew up...for example, if you grew up in a house where your family had very strong opinions about what is right and what is wrong...then you grow up thinking that even the things that are actually most likely fine... to be something wrong and so even though you´ve never experienced it yourself, you judge it and the people who have a connection to it rather harshly....i dont like it when people are narrow-minded but i do understand why they might see things that way, so i try to be patient with people like that and hope that at some point they may see things in a more open way....and ignorance can be harmless sometimes but sadly, it can also be very harmful sometimes...its crazy when you think about it...that just sometimes all you need is a little willingness to understand that could make huge differences in many people´s lives....

Well, considering the word ignorant means to lack knowledge, I would say WE are ALL ignorant about something and the reason for that is either our lack of interest or our not being introduced to what it is we are ignorant of. So, with that said, yes there are justifications for ignorance.
